For the first quarter of Financial Year 2017 ended December 31, 2016, Siemens Ltd. registered an increase in revenue from continuing operations by 16.1% in Q1 2017 over the same quarter in the preceding year. Profit before tax from operations of continuing operations increased by 60.5% to Rs.245.64 crore. New orders from continuing operations grew from Rs.3,076.11 crore to Rs.3,223.27 crore in the same period.

Suzlon Group, announced its repeat order win of 50.40 MW from a leading power utility. The project consists of 24 units of S97 120m hybrid tower with a rated capacity of 2.1 MW. Located in Kutch, Gujarat, the project will be completed by March 2017. Suzlon will execute the entire project on a turnkey basis and will also provide O&M services for an initial period of 14 years through an integrated service package.

ABB India Limited, reported results for the quarter and the full year ended December 31, 2016. NextEra Energy Resources has announced Wisconsin's largest solar project 'Point Beach Solar Energy Center', in conjunction with WPPI Energy of Sun Prairie; to be built adjacent to the Point Beach nuclear plant in Two Rivers. WPPI plans to buy electricity generated by the project for 20 years.
