Do you think that there are enough opportunities on the platter for pumps & pumping system manufacturers in India?
India is a developing nation and we believe that growth is always on both sides. Now every power plant, thermal or nuclear, requires huge amounts of water to be handled for cooling and process, providing significant opportunities for manufacturers of pumps and pumping systems. With the growing number of power plants and increasing use of seawater, it offers new opportunities to Indian manufacturers to produce highly reliable and efficient equipment for highly demanding applications. Indian manufacturers are also required to gear up and be ready to take the advantage of increasing opportunities emerging due to emphasis of the present government on the ´Make in India´ programme.
What is your share in the pumps and pumping systems market?
KBL is a market leader in pumps and pumping systems for power plants. Our expertise lies in supplying large engineered pumps for various critical applications in thermal, gas and nuclear power plants in India as well as the international market. Over the past few years, the power sector has been going through a tough time and growth has been hampered due to various policy-related issues. However, considering the current power situation in the country and pent-up demand to support a growing economy like India, there are huge opportunities for growth in the power sector in the days to come.
