To reduce the problems of electricity consumers in Punjab, the State government has an Inter-Active Voice Response System (IVRS), a dedicated helpline wherein a consumer could register his complaint by dialing specified telephone numbers.
The Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL) said that the numbers allotted for this IVRS are, code 0172-2218095 and 2218096. IVRS system has been installed at Patiala; if any electricity consumer in Punjab has a complaint unattended for more than 24 hours regarding power supply then the consumers could register their complaint on this IVRS system.
After dialing any of the number specified for IVRS, the system would welcome the consumer through pre recorded message and allot a serial number at which the complaint would be registered. In case, the complaint remains unattended for seven days then the complainant could contact Chief Administration & IR at PSPCL’s Head office, Patiala on telephone No. 0172-2216424 or personally.
