In Uttar Pradesh, Jakson Power Solutions has bagged a new 10 mw solar independent power project (IPP) from the State government. The IPP's cost is estimated at Rs 800 million. Jackson is targeting to commission the project by March, 2014.
Jakson has a solar power plant of 20 mw in Rajasthan already. The company's Rajashtan plant was installed under Phase I of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM). This plant was commissioned by Jakson in February, 2013.
The State government, under its solar policy, aims to install 500 mw of solar power plants in the state by the end of March, 2017.
